Description Robert Wohlrab 2006-05-01 07:33:14 UTC
There are different games in portage with ggz support (libggz in portage),
where ggz needs to be activated. Kamikaze is one of them
Comment 1 Tupone Alfredo gentoo-dev 2006-09-07 11:01:19 UTC
It seems to me that ggz libraries are linked to kamikaze. Care to explain what do you mean and how to do what you want?
Comment 2 Robert Wohlrab 2006-09-07 11:07:36 UTC
Kamikaze needs definitly be installed to be linked to kamikaze. If you don't have libggz it will be linked. To check this:

--
checking for GGZ library: libggz... no (ignored)
checking for GGZ library: ggzmod... no (intentionally ignored)
checking for GGZ configuration tool: ggz-config... no (intentionally ignored)
checking for GGZ library: ggzdmod... no (intentionally ignored)
checking for GGZ server: ggzd... no (but forced to ${prefix}/etc/ggzd)
--

So..no dependency, no ggz

With configure, you can only set the path to ggz and not force to "enable" it
Comment 3 Tupone Alfredo gentoo-dev 2006-09-07 11:24:01 UTC
Is there a way to force configure to disable ggz support, even in case ggz libraries are available on the system?
Comment 4 Tristan Heaven (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-10-19 12:32:21 UTC

:-)

No need for this. Removed from Portage with kde-base/kdelibs:3.5.
