I have a IntelEtherExpress PRO/100MT based on the 82540EM chip.

gentoo-basic-x86-1.4_rc2.iso does not detect the e1000 automatically.

modprobe e1000 solves the problem, though.

please try livecd-experimental-rc4-04-10-03.iso

latest livecds should fix this, reopen if needed
