Description Chris White (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-04-28 14:27:54 UTC
What the topic says, it fails without it. It looks to be modular xorg-ish only.
Comment 1 Stephen Tallowitz 2006-06-30 04:48:21 UTC
I've also tripped over this problem.
If you're not using modular X you have to disable the "minimal" useflag when compiling xorg-x11 in order to get ICE. Maybe build a check into xfce4-session to see if xorg-x11 (non-modular) was built with the "minimal" useflag disabled?

Versions I use:
xfce4-session-4.2.3
xorg-x11-6.8.2-r8

just stepped over this problem.

if you dont install the xorg-x11 package itself, iceauth doesnt get pulled.

as the topic says, the ebuild of xfce4-session needs to be corrected.

Fixed in CVS. Thanks for reporting.
Comment 5 Enrico 'nekrad' Weigelt 2006-12-18 08:22:38 UTC
Ok :)

Please give me feedback if it's in the production portage tree (so I can drop it off my world file).

thx,
