Description Dustin Polke 2006-04-28 11:32:18 UTC
After updating to version 2005.08.1-r1 it fails to start.

Output is:

Server options: none
Client options: none
Starting server...
Waiting for server to start before starting UI...
Will drop privs to dustin (1000) gid 100
No specific sources given to be enabled, all will be enabled.
Enabling channel hopping.
Enabling channel splitting.
Source 0 (ath0src): Enabling monitor mode for madwifi_g source interface ath0 channel 6...
FATAL: Failed to retrieve list of private ioctls 7:Argument list too long

I suspected first that the error was connected to the upgrate to kernel 2.6.16-suspend2-r4. So I tried 2.6.15-suspend2-r8. Here as well the same output.

I am using the madwifi-ng driver version 0.1443.20060207.

Here my emerge --info:

You'll need net-wireless/kismet-2006.04.1 for madwifi-ng support.

If the problem persists in that version, please reopen this bug report.
