sorry for be so late but we have some trouble with router hardware.

well version is:

miguel miguel # emerge -p openoffice

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

Calculating dependencies ...done!
[ebuild R ] app-office/openoffice-2.0.1-r1

but open office said he is: 2.0.1.3 (build)

i have other times trouble with transparency in openoffice i solved it using gifs grafics instead of png, but this time the trouble is with gifs,
Comment 5 Andreas Proschofsky (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-06-01 08:26:52 UTC
At first, please upgrade to the latest stable version, which is 2.0.2-r1, and see if that helps
Comment 6 Andreas Proschofsky (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-06-01 08:34:43 UTC
Also: Could you be that you also use an out-of-date version of X.org? Cause there were some graphic distortions with older versions, they should be fixed since some time, but as you also still use such an old OOo release, I thought, I'd ask...
Comment 7 Santiago Gala 2006-06-02 03:28:22 UTC
IIRC, this is due to the transparency setting under print options: you can choose to honor transparent images when generating postscript or not.

Please, play with transparency related options under Print, and look for some difference.

Probably the transition from 1.1.X to 2 has reset those preferences. Difficult to say.
Comment 8 Miguel Angel Requena Serrano 2006-06-06 03:52:43 UTC
humm upgrading to openoffice 2.0.2.9 gentoo tree -> openoffice-2.0.2-r1

solves the trouble but only whith png transparency files, the issue stills is going with gif files.

so the bug is half fixed, becuse the upgrade only solves a part of the problem.

in other ocasion y changed all pngs for gifs for solve a similar isue in openoffice 1.0.1.3, i must remake my files with gifs files, so now i have to remake with png ???

this issue is pursuing openoffice since 1.0.x versions
Comment 9 Andreas Proschofsky (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-06-06 06:43:17 UTC
@Miguel: So did you try changing the print settings, as Santiago suggested? And what about my question regarding the X.org-version?
Comment 10 Miguel Angel Requena Serrano 2006-06-07 00:18:47 UTC
emerge -p xorg-x11

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

Calculating dependencies ...done!
[ebuild U ] x11-base/xorg-x11-6.8.2-r7 [6.8.2-r4]

humm xorg seems to be actual, i update too

touching printing options in openoffice solves the trouble ????? i turn of color management and put the printing in draft (economy) and it works!!!!!
