QA Notice: the following files contain executable stacks Files with executable stacks will not work properly (or at all!) on some architectures/operating systems. A bug should be filed at http://bugs.gentoo.org/ to make sure the file is fixed. RWX --- --- usr/bin/soundtracker I will attach a patch that fixes this issue. Created attachment 85642 [details, diff] Fixes executable stack problem Added .note.GNU-stack stuff to a couple .S files.
PT_GNU_STACK markings do not effect hardened (effects vanilla users only). We/hardened use PT_PAX_FLAGS for markings and do not suffer from these mismarked executables. Reassigning bug to maintaining herd.
Thanks for your patch, applied now without revbump.
