Steve responded to my call for help for a Planet Gentoo co-maintainer. He's a long term user and is involved with the community (Gentoo wiki, LUG meetings, forums). He has enough knowledge/experience. It's not my decision to make, but I'd like to suggest that we don't require any quizzes at this point. All I am requesting is SVN commit access to the planet repo for now, and addition to the user-relations email alias. Soon after we're up and running there we'll apply for access to warbler (the infra box hosting planet) so that Steve can help with the b2evolution maintenance and hackergotchi uploading, I expect this will require the staff quiz, which won't be a problem. What happens next?
adding him to cc would be a good idea
we will be setting Steve up as a staffer working for dsd on planet/uni. at this point only svn access to the planet repo is needed. Steve: get me the staff quiz asap

If it's not too much to ask, could I get setup as user 'beandog'?
closing off bug to prevent quiz from leaking out. (In reply to comment #5) > If it's not too much to ask, could I get setup as user 'beandog'? > yes.
Submitted public key 0x96F8EB58 to http://pgp.mit.edu/
(In reply to comment #7) > Submitted public key 0x96F8EB58 to http://pgp.mit.edu/ Could you please upload it to subkeys.pgp.net as well, since pgp.mit.edu doesn't seem to be updated regularly these days.
Ok, submitted. :)
quiz is fine. I'll be available to set you up next week tues-fri 1100-1500 CST. If this time doesn't work for you, please indicate a range that is good for you. also, please send your ssh pubkey to recruiters@gentoo.org. christel: ok to add him to userrel alias?
Mike, go ahead and add him! And welcome onboard Steve :)
everything is done sans userinfo.xml, which I'll do as soon as my cvs checkout completes. welcome aboard steve.
As of today, Steve is also a ebuild dev. Thanks to KingTaco for making sure I figured out the recruitment ropes and ensuring I didn't do it all wrong here! ;)
recruiters/beandog: is there any reason this bug needs to stay private?
(In reply to comment #14) > recruiters/beandog: is there any reason this bug needs to stay private? > I attached my quiz answers like a true noob.

I figured I'd wait at *least* a month to come back here and bug you guys to reverse it all ... :) I'd be interested in doing some development again. media-video stuff is way behind on bugs, yeeks.

(In reply to Pacho Ramos from comment #47) > looks inactive for a long time Nah, just busy with school and work.
Please set devaway with your ETA on returning to active development.
(In reply to Michał Górny from comment #49) > Please set devaway with your ETA on returning to active development. k done. Working on Znurt mostly whilst hovering.
(In reply to Steve Dibb from comment #50) > (In reply to Michał Górny from comment #49) > > Please set devaway with your ETA on returning to active development. > > k done. Working on Znurt mostly whilst hovering. I've been asking specifically about ETA. Please include that. Also, if you return to active committing, please start following GLEP 66 commit message standards. I see many of your recent commits frequently lacked proper summary line.

So how's it going? I still do not see any commits. Do you need help with infrastructure access?
Yeah they set me up, I'm good
Ping. How's the progress on resuming contributions?
