When trying to follow instructions from http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handbook/handbook-mips.xml?part=1&chap=4 to use fdisk I tried to enter expert mode by presing "x". Unfortunately what I get is:

  Sorry, no experts menu for SGI partition tables available.

instead of being able to create a new SGI disklabel.
