Description Steven Walter 2006-04-26 16:29:49 UTC
/etc/conf.d/mythbackend defines 3 variables, MYTH_USER, MYTH_NICE, and MYTH_VERBOSE, but only one of these variables is actually used in the rc-script.

Proposed fix

Default to the current values, but pay attention to the values provided in /etc/conf.d/mythbackend, if given.
Comment 2 Doug Goldstein (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-04-27 02:00:32 UTC
Check /etc/conf.d/mythbackend. It does not define those variables anymore. You either failed to run etc-update or ignored the changes. These variables are no longer supported or used.

MYTH_NICE, at least, seems like a perfectly reasonable variable to have. Why is it no longer supported?
