When I start konsole, I immediately get 'The KDE Crash Handler Window':

I am not exactly sure exactly when this started happening, but it occurred
shortly after doing an emerge world that made the fonts on my desktop appear
larger and smoother for some reason.

As far as I can tell, Konsole is the only app that I use that seems to be affected.

this problem occured when qt-3.1.x is merged and <kdebase-3.0.4-r3 is used. 
please emerge kdebase-3.0.5a (if you haven't already done this). 
if this does not solve your problem, please submit the output of 'emerge info' 
and submit which qt and kde you use.
