As far as I can tell, Konsole is the only app that I use that seems to be affected.
this problem occured when qt-3.1.x is merged and <kdebase-3.0.4-r3 is used. please emerge kdebase-3.0.5a (if you haven't already done this). if this does not solve your problem, please submit the output of 'emerge info' and submit which qt and kde you use.
