Description Ferry 2006-04-26 02:14:08 UTC
Hey there,

with the update to expat-2.0.0 libexpat.so.0 has disappeared. I know this isn't really a bug, but I use some external packages like ActiveState's Komodo (http://www.activestate.com/Products/Komodo/?mp=1) which actually need the library.

Also, it broke my X n stuff, I know this needs to be revdep-rebuild, but that is going to take ages.

In short, I'd just like to know if it isn't an option to install 1.x next to 2.x. As the names have changed this might be possible I think... That way, I can just update my system while I have time for it as well, as I need X.

Sorry to bug you guys with this, I know you really don't want to support external packages...

No, explained bunch of times already. Not safe. See Bug 128108 and couple of others. Sorry.
