Hmm not entirely sure if this is two bug reports or not. First I've been using spread built from original source on amd64. Everything seems to work fine so far. So it should warrant at least a ~amd64 IMO. ============ However, after putting in the ~x86 keyword to build in portage, I get: * 'enewuser()' called from 'compile()' which is not a pkg_* function. * Package fails at QA and at life. Please file a bug. !!! ERROR: net-misc/spread-3.17.3 failed. !!! Function enewuser, Line 446, Exitcode 0 !!! Bad package! enewuser is only for use in pkg_* functions! !!! If you need support, post the topmost build error, NOT this status message. ============ Portage version is 2.0.54. I'd be happy to patch/test the ebuild if someone has a doc for me to consume to do so. I do know python fairly well.
I changed the ebuild - please retry and see if it fixes.
Closing.
