fair enough, please mark gnome-extra/sensors-applet-1.6 stable .
sensors-applet-1.6 [ -debug +hddtemp ] seems to work fine on x86 with gnome-2.12.3. I've verified that sensors-applet-1.6 cooperates with acpi, i2c and hddtemp and that the various configuration menus work as expected. ppc stable
Stable on x86 and amd64 (I happen to use this on both already).
