The new media-libs/xine-lib-1.1.2_pre20060328-r1 version will add virtual/libiconv-0, but I do not need emulate MacOS or BSD. Until today none of my applications did need this emulation, nor older xinelibs either. The virtual is used to state the dependencies required for non-glibc systems, the package that contains the actual code needed on BSD and OSX is dev-libs/libiconv that's _not_ being pulled in. virtual/libiconv-0 is what it's stated it is: a virtual package. No file is being installed by that package.
