Description Georg Sahli 2006-04-24 09:15:44 UTC
The new media-libs/xine-lib-1.1.2_pre20060328-r1 version will add virtual/libiconv-0, but I do not need emulate MacOS or BSD. Until today none of my applications did need this emulation, nor older xinelibs either.

The USE-flag -iconv is ignored.

The virtual is used to state the dependencies required for non-glibc systems, the package that contains the actual code needed on BSD and OSX is dev-libs/libiconv that's _not_ being pulled in.
virtual/libiconv-0 is what it's stated it is: a virtual package. No file is being installed by that package.
