I have a little issue with it on x86 (but I think it affects all platforms):
If I try to emerge tango-icon-theme-0.7.1 whitout having an existing "/root/.gnome2" folder, the build fails with several access violation error. Messages looks like that:

(process:18603): libgnomevfs-WARNING **: Unable to create ~/.gnome2 directory: Permission denied
ACCESS DENIED mkdir: /root/.gnome2

If I mkdir /root/.gnome2 before emerging tango, all goes well.

Comment 5 Luis Medinas (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-04-22 16:12:13 UTC
yet another failure that's a known bug (global bug not only for this package). That's something that should be implemented in gnome2 eclass in order to create that dir. The only thing i can add to the package (which i don't agree) is a addwrite to that dir.
Comment 6 Saleem Abdulrasool (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-04-22 19:59:58 UTC
stable on x86 (the /root/.gnome2 issue has existed for a while, just creating the directory is sufficient, and generally is needed for many applications).
Comment 7 Gustavo Zacarias (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-04-24 07:18:46 UTC
sparc stable.
Comment 8 Joe Jezak (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-04-28 13:20:46 UTC
Marked ppc stable.
Comment 9 Markus Rothe (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-05-01 04:10:44 UTC
added ~ppc64
Comment 10 Markus Rothe (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-06-02 05:53:20 UTC
stable on ppc64

(last architecture -> marking bug as FIXED)
