Description Marcin Deranek 2006-04-21 01:26:13 UTC
splashutils-1.1.9.8-r1 has broken startup script (/etc/init.d/splash) which fails to start during boot. Please see the patch to fix the problem.

BTW: Does the script check for ANY errors ? When I remove all '2> /dev/null' entries I see lots of errors, but script says everything is fine. In fact it's not..

Comment 2 Michal Januszewski (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-07-14 17:16:56 UTC
Fixed in splashutils-1.3, thanks.

What kind of errors do you get when you remove the /dev/null redirects?
Comment 3 Marcin Deranek 2006-07-19 07:43:10 UTC
It seems it must have been already fixed since I do not get any either on x86 or amd64.
