Created attachment 122300 [details, diff] zope-config with support for all zope versions Here's a more elaborate patch to support pre-3.0 and post-3.0 zope installs. it's a quick hack but it worked for me installing zope-2.8.1 and zope-3.3.0 instances. This bug is very old and so is zope-3.x, I hope one of those fixes make into the tree.
