are you using boot splash or anything similar ?
Comment 3 Evgeniy Dushistov 2006-04-21 10:47:42 UTC
>are you using boot splash or anything similar ?
yes, I used genspash. But with kernel without genspash the same problem .
Comment 4 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2006-05-07 03:42:55 UTC
/etc/conf.d/rc notes the fact that bootlog doesnt work with bootsplash related stuff ... so unless you feel like posting a patch to fix this, i'll leave this closed as a known quirk
Comment 5 Evgeniy Dushistov 2006-05-07 05:57:52 UTC
>bootlog doesnt work with bootsplash related

I didn't use bootsplash, I use genspash.
And as I said before without genspash I have the same problem.

The problem is in "CONSOLE=/dev/tty1" in grub.conf,
this parameter advise genkernel, if remove this parameter
all works fine with and without gensplash.

bootsplash/gensplash, doesnt matter

boot logging doesnt work with changing of console
