I cannot compile openmosix-sources on this enviroment: Portage 2.0.54 (uclibc/x86/2.4, gcc-3.4.5, uclibc-0.9.28-r0, 2.6.15-suspend2-r8 i686) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.15-suspend2-r8 i686 Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.66GHz Gentoo Base System version 1.6.14 dev-lang/python: 2.4.2 sys-apps/sandbox: 1.2.12 sys-devel/autoconf: 2.13, 2.59-r7 sys-devel/automake: 1.4_p6, 1.5, 1.6.3, 1.7.9-r1, 1.8.5-r3, 1.9.6-r1 sys-devel/binutils: 2.16.1 sys-devel/libtool: 1.5.22 virtual/os-headers: 2.4.26-r1 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CBUILD="i386-gentoo-linux-uclibc" CFLAGS="-Os -mtune=i586 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer" CHOST="i386-gentoo-linux-uclibc" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/lib/X11/xkb /usr/share/config /var/qmail/control" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/eselect/compiler /etc/gconf /etc/terminfo /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-Os -mtune=i586 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoconfig distlocks nodoc noinfo noman sandbox sfperms strict" GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://gentoo.ngi.it http://gentoo.ynet.sk/pub" LANG="it_IT.UTF-8" LC_ALL="it_IT.UTF-8" PKGDIR="/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="x86 X bitmap-fonts bzip2 cli dlloader dri expat minimal ncurses pcre perl png python readline reflection session spl symlink truetype truetype-fonts type1-fonts uclibc unicode usb zlib userland_GNU kernel_linux elibc_uclibc" Unset: ASFLAGS, CTARGET, INSTALL_MASK, LDFLAGS, LINGUAS, MAKEOPTS, PORTDIR_OVERLAY I used genkernel for compiling the kernel.

from genkernel.log: cl2llc.c: In function `llc_data_request': cl2llc.c:100: error: label at end of compound statement cl2llc.c: In function `llc_interpret_pseudo_code': cl2llc.c:501: error: label at end of compound statement it's driver compilation failure, not oM's. also you can try latest 2.4.32 kernel, hope that helps. and thanks for reporting.
dsd: why you're reassigning it back?
openmosix-sources is maintained by the cluster herd, according to metadata
but current problem isn't oM-specific.
Maintainers are maintainers - the kernel herd get bitten when we touch packages not maintained by ourselves, plus nobody on kernel herd really touches 2.4
Luca: so try latest 2.4.32, please, and reopen if bug is still there.
forgot to close.
