Description Alfonso 2006-04-19 02:50:52 UTC
Using df to show information about partitions does not show the correct size. The partition the root partition of my system has 11445MB, but df shows 8GB (df -T -h).I'm not shure if this is a bug with df or it's something that I make wrong...

gparted shows the correct size

I think I have the solution. My installation comes from a restore with partimage from a previous gentoo installation that I hade made on an smaller partition. In partimage faq I have just read this:

5.3 Can I restore it to a smaller or bigger partition ? You can't restore to a smaller partition (you will have an error), but it's possible to restore to a lager one. In this case, some space will be lost (I suppose the OS cannot use all the size).
