SWT 3.1.2 has been released in january. Latest ebuild available is for 3.1.

Hmmm, why do we exactly need 3.1.2 when there's 3.2 in portage?

because 3.1.2 is the latest stable version from eclipse.org, 3.2_pre1 is a (rather old now i think) development version.

swt-3.2* is now considered stable by eclipse I think so there should not be any need for 3.1.2. I filed a stable request already for 3.2-r1 in bug #151358. Please reopen if you have any other arguments like API changed to continue updating 3.1
