dev-php/smarty is still installed into /usr/lib/php/smarty. As dev-lang/php uses /usr/share/php as default extension dir (e.g. PEAR) it should be wise to make it install to that directory to simplify php.ini settings
You are installing a wrong ebuild... You need >=2.6.11 ;) We should stabilize a newer version that's dev-lang/php compatible; tomk? CCing arches. hppa - you don't have it even keyworded, ~hppa at least if possible, thanks.
Jakub, you are right :) I took a look ino 2.6.13 ebuild and saw that it is prepared for dev-lang/php Surely, it should be stabilized. my case: x86 please My mistake I have not checked it out by myself earlier. Anyway - should be stable along with dev-lang/php
x86 done
SPARC'd
ppc stable

alpha stable.
HPPA, can you mark it ~hppa, and then ASAP stable hppa, as you already have a dev-php/smarty-docs version stable? Thanks! Feel free to use this bug as stabilization tracker for it. ;) Best regards, CHTEKK.
