Description Jeremy Olexa (darkside) (RETIRED) archtester gentoo-dev Security 2006-04-17 12:16:07 UTC
The host 206.169.166.57 is undefined in rsync://rsync.namerica.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage

% emerge --sync
rsync: failed to connect to 206.169.166.57: Connection timed out
rsync error: error in socket IO (code 10) at clientserver.c(88)

% host 206.169.166.57
206.169.166.57 does not exist, try again

Just letting you know so you can remove the host from the namerica list.
Thanks.

Jeremy,

Sorry about not catching that one. Truth be told, I have been letting the continent rotations thin out as I have been moving to country code based ones (rsync.us.gentoo.org, rsync.ca.gentoo.org might be ones you should check out).

I've removed the errant entry from DNS. Thanks!
