Yorick is a language for scientific computing and rapid prototyping, similar to matlab. It can easily call C functions and libraries.

which is now in overlays.gentoo.org (layman is your friend).
Reminder: it seems some people got yorick alive, it is now version 2.1x

yorick-2.1.05.ebuild is in the science overlay. It is just core yorick, no extra packages yet.

package is no longer present in science and upstream has not updated in 18years.
