Description Jon Phillips 2006-04-15 16:25:12 UTC
Hello, I would like to get Creative Commons' media sharing web software added to portage. I'm trying to make it available for different distros.

I have built the package as tar.gz tar.bz2 and rpm. Hopefully one of these will help the ebuild'ification process.

Is there anything else I should provide to help get cchost into portage? Do I need to make an initial ebuild? What is the best process as well to get packages into portage?

Hopefully it can go into portage similar to how one can emerge mediawiki:

Calculating dependencies ...done!
[ebuild N ] app-admin/webapp-config-1.50.13 92 kB
[ebuild N ] www-apps/mediawiki-1.4.15 +imagemagick -math -vhosts 1,936 kB

Thanks,

Jon Phillips (www.creativecommons.org)

Yeah, it will go much faster if you submit an ebuild...

No progress here for 1 year; closing WONTFIX. Feel free to reopen with an ebuild.
