Description Robert Paskowitz (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-04-15 11:41:16 UTC
rsync1.ca.gentoo.org/mirrors.tera-byte.com hasn't had a sync since Monday, April 10. (http://gentoo-portage.mirrors.tera-byte.com/metadata/timestamp). Please remove from rotation until resolved. Thanks.

Travis,

Any idea on this? I'm removing you from the rsync.ca.g.o rotation for the time being.

Yeah.. rsync 2.6.7 doesn't work. :P I had this on my other server as well (rsync9.ca). I've rolled it back to 2.6.6 and the server is up to date again. FYI, this is what I get with 2.6.7:

/usr/bin/rsync --stats --progress --recursive --links --perms --times --devices --compress --delete --timeout=600 rsync://rsync1.us.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage /opt/gentoo-rsync/portage-ramfs/
gentoo-rsync.afn.org (gentoo4.afn.org)
Service provided by the Open Systems Group at the University of Florida.

rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (0 bytes received so far) [receiver]
rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(471) [receiver]

If we could figure out what the heck is going on with all these protocol changes in rsync, it would make life a lot easier.

Thanks Travis, I've added you back into rotation.
