Description Bjarke Istrup Pedersen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-04-14 08:01:17 UTC
I've written an ebuild for the hyperion ircd, and since I don't have CVS access yet, I'll post it here for now.
It passes repoman scanning.

There is no tarballs for the package, so I did a SVN checkout, and exported it, and tar'ed it up.

The tarball, it's an checkout of revision 365, that has been exported.
Comment 7 Bjarke Istrup Pedersen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-04-14 08:09:37 UTC
The URL in the ebuild should be fixed, I just left it as in the dancer-ircd ebuild, since the tarball isn't only anywhere.

Seems to have misunderstood people, ups :-)
Comment 10 Bjarke Istrup Pedersen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-04-15 13:03:29 UTC
According to people in #hyperion, hyperion is dead (no development happending), so for now I'll make it as RESOLVED/LATER, untill something starts to happen, please reopen if you disagree.
Comment 11 Glenn Willen 2009-10-20 18:15:27 UTC
Could this be reopened? For all that the freenode people have claimed hyperion is dead for years, they have also been running it stably all those years. (They still are; they just don't have the manpower to write their "next gen server" that they claim is the replacement for hyperion.) It would be nice if gentoo users could run it too. (I'm running a handbuilt one right now. An ebuild would be wonderful.)
