Description Luca Marturana 2006-04-14 01:09:37 UTC
I'have installed beagle:

[I--] [ ] app-misc/beagle-0.2.4-r2 (0)

It worked fine, but when I removed all files in $PORTAGE_TMPDIR, beagle daemon starts with an error:

luca@Panther ~ $ beagled
Unhandled Exception: System.DllNotFoundException: libbeagleglue
in (wrapper managed-to-native) Beagle.Util.ExceptionHandlingThread:wrap_gettid ()
in [0x0000b] (at /var/tmpPortage/portage/beagle-0.2.4-r2/work/beagle-0.2.4/Util/ExceptionHandlingThread.cs:53) Beagle.Util.ExceptionHandlingThread:ThreadStarted ()
in (wrapper delegate-invoke) System.MulticastDelegate:invoke_void ()
luca@Panther ~ $
Unhandled Exception: System.DllNotFoundException: libbeagleglue

in (wrapper delegate-invoke) System.MulticastDelegate:invoke_void ()

And although the daemon is running searching of files doesn't work any more.

"beagle-info --status" returns:

luca@Panther ~ $ beagle-info --status
Could not connect to the daemon.
luca@Panther ~ $

However, this is my emerge --info:

i hope you don't have messed up your distcc but if you re-emerge and don't touch on portage_tmpdir what happens ? the daemon starts without any trouble ?

I compiled beagle (with and without distcc enabled) again and now it works fine with and without deleting PORTAGE_TMPDIR. Excuse me for my bad bug report.

np Thanks anyway.
