I made an ebuild for Nitrogen, a small GTK+ application that lets you browse your wallpapers and set one. It supports multiple screens and has a command to restore your last-set wallpaper, which you can use when starting X. Planned features include interesting things like selecting a wallpaper to match your theme. I'm assuming it goes in x11-misc so I put it there.
Created attachment 84608 [details] x11-misc/nitrogen-1.0_rc2 (ebuild) Original ebuild uploaded.
Created attachment 84612 [details] x11-misc/nitrogen-9999 (svn ebuild) Added ebuild that checks out sources from Nitrogen's Subversion repository.
Did some minor cleanup. You can get the new ebuild and future versions from sunrise http://overlays.gentoo.org/proj/sunrise/browser/x11-misc/nitrogen
Created attachment 89880 [details] x11-misc/nitrogen-1.0_rc2 (ebuild) I modified it to make it a little more QA-compliant. jakub also changed the dependencies. It is in the now-unofficial Project Sunrise overlay: http://gentoo-sunrise.org/svn/sunrise/x11-misc/nitrogen/
Created attachment 95613 [details] x11-misc/nitrogen-1.0_rc3 (ebuild) Bumped to 1.0_rc3 and made some minor changes http://gentoo-sunrise.org/svn/reviewed/x11-misc/nitrogen/
Hi, I'm one of the devs of Nitrogen. I've added Xinerama support to SVN (will be in rc4 soon), perhaps you could make the ebuild have a Xinerama use flag? in addition, im not sure if there is an inotify use flag, but thats a configure option. both are enabled by default, and there is checking to make sure xinerama libs exist, but there is no check to see if inotify is on or not, so it will fail to run on non-inotify enabled systems.
1.0_rc4 is now in the tree. Closing bug.
