beaver 0.2.7 has been out for quite some time.
note, the original tar/gz was hosted on the savannah repository before it was compromised, but the md5 of http://gnu.rtin.bz/ftp/savannah/files/beaver/beaver-0.2.7.tar.gz
is correct according to Michael Terry, one of the maintainers of beaver at that time.

The URL no longer contains the tarball, and it doesn't seem to be available anywhere else, additionally, upstream seems to have been dead since 2003.
If upstream comes alive again to provide official tarballs via savannah, this can be reopened.
