Description Bernard Cafarelli gentoo-dev 2006-04-12 13:07:25 UTC
A new version of Sylpheed-Claws was released a week ago, there are some great new features in this version, for example:
- in the Templates dialog TAB address completion has been added for Cc and Bcc fields, in addition to To
- An account's signature file can now be edited "in place"
- A long search can now be cancelled
- More drag-n-drop capabilities
- Unsubscribing from a newsgroup now removes the related folder in newscache
- Spam learning interface for the spamassassin plugin
- other new features, bugfixes, translations updates, ...

This ebuild works for me, I simply renamed the 2.0.0 and updated libetpan dependancy to 0.45 (needed for this version)

Sylpheed-Claws 2.1.1 will be released on monday (April 17th).
Comment 3 Dirk Silkenbäumer 2006-04-14 09:31:28 UTC
Can we add a dependency to use flag maildir and emerge sylpheed-claws-maildir automatically? The maildir-plugin is at v0.20 (portage still has v0.19).
Comment 4 timbrain 2006-04-17 03:14:05 UTC
Sylpheed-Claws 2.1.1 is out!

Comment 5 Bernard Cafarelli gentoo-dev 2006-04-18 02:04:03 UTC
Renaming the ebuild to 2.1.1 works (no dependancy changes for this one)
Comment 6 timbrain 2006-04-18 02:08:14 UTC
I just tested it as well... Works OK.
Comment 7 timbrain 2006-04-19 06:42:12 UTC
Is it possible to help somehow to speed up including of new versions of sylpheed-claws into portage?
Most of other distributions already have at least 2.1.0 :(
I'm willing to help I just don't know how :'(
Comment 8 timbrain 2006-04-19 14:45:05 UTC
Bernard, you as a reporter can change priority & component.
Please change priority to P1 and component to Ebuilds - maybe it will attract more attention ;)

Hm, Marius' devaway says "Limited availability as I'm still trying to figure why my server crashes regulary (taking $HOME with it), if you need something from me don't rely on IRC."

That is possibly the cause of him being silent lately.
Comment 10 timbrain 2006-04-19 16:30:44 UTC
Please also specify keyword EBUILD.

Well, that, me being away from home (and my dev box) for two weeks and still being stunned by Oblivion (this game is awesome), so I won't be around much for a while. I'll try to get this done this weekend.
@Andrej: In case you want to deal more with sylpheed-claws stuff, feel free to add yourself as maintainer to metadata.xml (you probably know more about it than I anyway), or alternatively lets create a herd for it.

Not much for adding PDEPENDs on plugins, doesn't really help users as they would still have to manually load the plugins in SC but can make keywording a pain.
