Description Andy Wang 2006-04-12 02:03:42 UTC
gtkpod-0.99.4 went stable for amd64 and depends on libmp4v2-1.4.1 instead of faad2 now. This is resulting in emerge updates blocking because of libmp4v2 blocking the currently stable faad2 ebuild (2.0-r3).

This of course causes problems if applications that depend on libmp4v2 and applications that depend on faad2 are both installed on the system. Perhaps faad2-2.0-r11 should have gone stable with libmp4v2 to prevent this?

yes faad2 -r11 should be stable... flameeyes?

I cannot emerge faad2-2.0-r11. However, there is no trouble doing
'ebuild faad2... compile', 'ebuild faad2... merge' on my ppc system.
