Description Terje Kvernes 2002-12-30 12:31:01 UTC
am I the only one who could want the possibility to run sshd from the install
CD? I'd like the _possibility_ to run sshd during the install so other people
could log in and aid or even complete the install.

since we don't have a root password, using tcpwrappers and requireing the user
to allow incoming connections explicitly for sshd would be prudent. considering
we'd also require the user to manually start sshd I'd consider this "secure
enough" as well as producing a very nifty and nice addition to the install CD.

(okay, this is a personal thing for me since I rather often help people with
installs over IRC, but I'd love to have full shell access. :-)

pretty please? :-)

passwd newpass
/etc/init.d/sshd start
ta-da :)

ick. sorry about that.

on the upside, if all bugreports where that easy to deal with. :-)

thanks for the great work on Gentoo and Portage though. thanks a million for
all your work!

Moving these so we can remove the "Install CD" component from "Gentoo Linux".

I apologize to everyone for this spam, but according to the bugzilla developers,
this is the only reasonable way to do this.
