I have remerged all the latest/stable portage, sh-utils, and rsync ebuilds available after initially seeing this problem. After rebuilding them, I still see this problem... it works here, but the server is very outdated, so i put it out of the round-robin and mailed the admin.. as soon as he fixed it ill put it in the round-robin again.. regards
