why does this happen....

sethbc@cwm:~$ emerge search blah
bash: emerge: command not found
sethbc@cwm:~$ 


i'm using os x...this is a problem


strangley, this also doesn't work


sethbc@cwm:~$ fink install portage
sudo /sw/bin/fink  install portage

no package found for "portage"
Failed: no package found for specification 'portage'!

portage is a part of Gentoo Linux, you cannot run this (yet?) on mac OS X.
If you want to try out portage, you'll need to install Gentoo/PPC on your mac.
