Description Jean Bréfort 2006-04-04 23:55:52 UTC
Encountered two problems:

- System hangs on startup with a dhcp net iface (this one is critical)
config_eth1=( "dhcp" )
/etc/init.d/net.eth1 never returns

- Can't emerge lilypond:
# emerge -p lilypond

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating dependencies -
emerge: there are no ebuilds to satisfy ">=virtual/ghostscript-8.15".
(dependency required by "media-sound/lilypond-2.8.0-r1" [ebuild])

(In reply to comment #0)

Two completely different bugs and each of them has zero in common with gentoolkit. Changing the summery. File a new bug about virtual/ghostscript.
Comment 2 Roy Marples (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-04-05 02:34:35 UTC
What is eth1? Wired, wireless?
Could you add RC_VERBOSE=yes to /etc/conf.d/rc and post the output of eth1 starting?
Comment 3 Jean Bréfort 2006-04-05 02:47:20 UTC
It is a wired connection (usb adsl modem). Things worked until yesterday...

Don't emerge dhcpcd with the debug use flag then :)
