Description Andy Kilner 2006-04-04 17:33:59 UTC
Please find attached last-exit-0.2.ebuild

last-exit is a Gtk# player for Last.fm. This ebuild is very simple and works for me but it doesn't include the patch to save the streams. It should also probably let you use either gst-plugins-gnomevfs OR gst-plugins-neon.

There's an alternative ebuild at http://dev.gentoo.org/~steev/files/overlays/thinkpad/media-sound/last-exit-0.2.ebuild
which I found after I'd written and tested this but I thought it would be better to just get an ebuild here for people to find.

Comment 2 Marcos 2006-07-05 19:24:11 UTC
the ebuild is broken; at least for me when i try to execute "last-exit" it compalins that there is no /usr/local/bin/last-exit.exe.. but the ebuild from the link worked without problems ;D
Comment 3 Marcos 2006-07-05 19:25:47 UTC
the ebuild from the link needs this patch

I will take this bug, and add to portage, I have an ebuild that I have been working on already, and unfortunately, being a US developer, I don't know the legality of the save-song patch, and will NOT be including it.

I've meanwhile reworked your ebuild a bit. ;)

Renamed to last-exit-1.0.ebuild and merged successfully.

However, my user got errors about missing gconf-values and I had to --install-schema-file as the user (doing it as root didn't help).

This is in CVS, based on my ebuild I had previously. Thanks to everyone here for their great work. I do install the schema's but it does require restarting X before gconf recognizes that they are there. Known issue, and as soon as I figure out how to get around that, I will do a revbump.

Just for the reference, you don't need to restart the whole X-Server. I just killed gconfd and then started it again. But I installed the schema-File manually, though.

See bug 132862 - we just need to get gnome2.eclass to HUP gconfd-2.
