Hello. It would be nice to have an ebuild for openlaszlo. It's an opensource platform for rich web development, and it's based on tomcat. http://download.openlaszlo.org/3.2/openlaszlo-3.2-src.tar.gz Thanks a lot, Pedro
I would be interested in trying this out as well.. Maybe I'll give ebuilding it a shot..

This is the ebuild for openlaszlo 4.0 beta, if someone needs an earlier version/stable version (currently 3.3.3) tell me. I put it in the www-misc category, since it has a server and a compiler, it isn't just a server and it isn't just a compiler.... it needs either apache http or apache tomcat to work, if either one is installed it will be happy. I wasn't sure if I should have done it this way, or used USE flags. any feedback is welcome... Enjoy! PS I tried to change the Keyword from REQUEST to EBUILD but I don't have the right to....

Created attachment 119543 [details] openlaszlo 4.0.0 ebuild Just a quick update to the ebuild to reach v4.0.0
shouldn't this ebuild be named openlaszlo-bin, since it does not build openlaszlo from source?
(In reply to comment #8) > shouldn't this ebuild be named openlaszlo-bin, since it does not build > openlaszlo from source? > Can we get a version bump on this program? It's up to v4.8.1. The program is also available as source and as a generic unix binary, so it should be split as openlaszlo-4.8.1.ebuild and openlaszlo-bin-4.8.1.ebuild.
