Description conexion2000 2006-04-04 07:31:57 UTC
When I try to open my main linux partition (hda8 = /) from system:/media it says, that it couldn't mount it because according to mtab this partition is already mounted. (http://img414.imageshack.us/img414/617/screen12kb.jpg)
Description to this situation:
Hal support is turned on, and all options in kcontrol are checked (hal support, automounting, and so on). When I go to media:/ I have only partitions from hda there. And when I try to enter main partition / (hda8), I have got an error as in above screenshot.

Everything is ok when I turn off Hal and automounting from kcontrol (kde 3.5.2) (http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/1273/screen28pd.jpg).
Descrition:
Hal support and automounting turned off. When I enter media:/ I have got partitions CD drives and usb pendrive (from fstab). And than I try to enter / (hda8) and everything is OK.

df -h gives:

Doesn't matter anymore. Newer HAL versions refuse to touch anything listed in fstab.
