Also hope that you inform people in weekly newsletters address of when it is fixed. This is basic printing in "2006". Please no elitism Thank You
thanks, fixed!
Thanks for fixing, if any patches when they become available. I'll test them and let you know. It is best what I may be able to do so other users are happy too.
it is only fixed in gs-afpl btw. I did not find suitable patches for the others.
It is ok, understandable at least it is being worked on. Hope you understand why I filled the bug report. It was not for just my own selfish gain but many other people in mind as well. Who may be using this printer line with the problem. Since it is a very critical type of thing. Which satisfies users printer needs. Since I am on the tracker and as soon as something does come to resolve. You could sure bet I'll test the patch at least on this model line. In any case, Thank You
Hello again, I found out today that their are various versions of ghostscript. That is what you meant with "gs-afpl". I'll test the patch after it compiles if do everything correctly. Will post back if be able to intergrate it. So Far: gs-gpl gs-epl Both seem not to work at this time despite of available patches.
Either I did something wrong or gs-afpl does not work as well. Does anything need to be recompiled once gs-afpl is installed?
You need to use the latest ~arch gs-afpl echo "app-text/ghostscript-afpl" >> /etc/portage/package.keywords emerge -va app-text-ghostscript-afpl
Ok, tried the test version. Thank You for trying to fix this. It seems they "hpijs" really messed things up. We will have to wait then for some better patches to come along guess.
