samba and in paticular it's smbmount component would be handy to have in the
LiveCD so that install files such as stages or packages could be retrieved from
a Windows or Samba share. SMB support should be built into the kernel as well,
if it's not already.

ppc livecd 281202 has samba support in the kernel and has the samba ebuild emerged .
