app-admin/dosfstools supplies fsck.{msdos,vfat} and mkfs.{msdos,vfat} these
utilities are handy if you're using the livecd to recover a windows partition,
they are also handy if you need to fsck your windows partition before copy
stages or binary packages from a windows partition to your new Gentoo Linux
partition.
