Description Peter Gordon (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-04-02 13:33:27 UTC
Good day.

I've been using Evolution to access my @gentoo email for a long time and just yesterday night when I tried to access my mail, Evo popped up an error message saying that my login was invalid.
I have the "remember my password" option enabled, and I never actually stored the password I was given when klieber reset it almost two months ago.
Could I get the login password on my account reset please? Thanks!

Hmm. I would greatly appreciate it if a kind infra hacker would reset this for me, please. Thanks...

reset. ~codergeek42/passwd. Can you please reset this to something you will remember and/or record it somewhere where you won't forget it?
Comment 3 Peter Gordon (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-05-11 20:03:16 UTC
Yeah. I'll be sure reset it to something I remember this time. Thanks, Kurt!
Comment 4 Peter Gordon (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-05-11 20:29:48 UTC
Thanks, Kurt. However, that password does not seem to work (neither trying to reset it over SSH via `passwd` nor in Thunderbird's login dialog). (I've typed it probably 10 times at least, and even tried copying/pasting.)

Does it take some time to reset in the LDAP system that's up? Or am I trying to reset the password the wrong way? Please let me know.

Thanks!

Still having a problem? If so, catch me on IRC tomorrow and we can sort this out.

Thanks for your help. It seems to be working now. I've reset it to something I know for sure.
