running sensors-detect on my system crashes it hard.  i have a netfinity 6000r computer, quad p3 xeon machine.  i press enter on the questions, and it crashes. this kernel was from the install using the latest gentoo install cd.

From the ebuild:

        einfo "Be warned, the probing of hardware in your system performed by"
        einfo "sensors-detect could freeze your system. Also make sure you read"
        einfo "the documentation before running lm_sensors on IBM ThinkPads."

Nothing much I can do about, but please report this issue upstream on the lm_sensors mailing list at http://secure.netroedge.com/~lm78/
