Are you really sure you didn't run out of disk space?
(In reply to comment #1) > Are you really sure you didn't run out of disk space? Positive. Even with the 4G still in /var/tmp/portage/openoffice-2.0.2 from the failed build, none of my partitions (except /boot which is not mounted) have less than 30GB free.
gcc-4.1 is still hard masked and known to cause problems with OOo (though normally there is another bug), also try to set your CFLAGS to something more generic like -O2 -march=pentium4 OOo is very CFLAGS-sensitive and if I recall correctly we had some problems with the nocona-arch in the past
So did you try with lowering your CFLAGS?
Now it works, with 2.0.2-r2 and reduced CFLAGS.
