and  when I emerge glibc  the same error occured

I used GCC4.1 and I chaged to gcc3.4.5 the error occured again

If sort aborts it's hardly a sound issue...

try emerging coreutils-5.94-r2 and then see if alsa-lib builds

 I have emerged coreutils-5.94-r2 but it seems does not work

today  I emerge --sync and etc-update
the bug has gone , I have merge it correctly
