Description Michael Stewart (vericgar) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-03-30 18:18:38 UTC
Please test and mark stable mod_auth_kerb-5.0_rc6 so that I can remove the non-working 4.11 ebuilds.

mod_auth_kerb-4.11 is an old-style ebuild
mod_auth_kerb-4.11-r1 is a new-style ebuild, but not done correctly. As-is it doesn't compile. I fixed the ebuild locally so that it would compile, but it then won't load into apache due to missing symbols (krb5_init_ets).

In my testing of 5.0, it seems to work correctly.

Thanks!

any hope for mod_auth_kerb 5.0rc7? given rc6 doesnt play very well with mit_krb5 ("request is replay" error message)

may be mark 5.0rc6 as stable with a 5.0rc7 available in ~ for tests?
thanks.

5.0rc7 is now in the tree

thanks for 5.0 rc7 ebuild. I have provided steps to action in order for mod_auth_kerb (rc7 and i am sure rc6) to function with "Krb5MethodNegotiate On"

please see bug#107063 (http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=107063) for details

I am not sure if these steps can be included as part of ebuild, if not that using mod_auth_kerb + mit-krb5 on gentoo will often be incomplete experience.

It still is your call if u expect users to action these (somewhat risky) changes for Negotiate methods.
