I use europecv for my CV and it works fine (all ebuilds). As it is a simple LaTeX package, I don't understand why the 2004 version is masked for amd64 but not x86 and ppc. I use them on both archs (amd at home and x86 at work), in any case. I use the last ebuild, but the 2005 one worked fine as well.
