Description Andreas Schäfer 2006-03-28 15:36:05 UTC
I'm trying to associate my ipw2200 with my accesspoint and wpa encryption. While all the modules do seem to load fine, my wpa_suppliciant log doesn't look well at all:

Not sure whether this is a ipw2200 or wpa_supplicant issue (or my fault, of course ;-) )

I'm using the following versions:

 * gentoo-sources-2.6.16
 * ipw2200-1.1.1-r1
 * ipw2200-firmware-3.0
 * ieee80211-1.1.12-r1

My wpa_supplicant.conf looks like:
=================8<===SNIP=============================
neuromancer ~ # cat /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf
ctrl_interface=/var/run/wpa_supplicant
ctrl_interface_group=wheel

network={
        ssid="theVault"
        priority=100
        key_mgmt=WPA-PSK
        psk="MYVERYSECRETKEY"
}

Starting with linux-2.6.13, you need to use "-D wext" instead of "-D ipw".
