Description Thomas R. (TRauMa) 2006-03-28 13:18:50 UTC
Hi, when updating xorg, i get errors (hm, out of scrollbuffer already, from memory):

ls: Otf: File or Directory not found
ls: Std: File or Directory not found
ls: foo: File or Directory not found
ls: bar: File or Directory not found
ls: foofoo: File or Directory not found

So I assume there is some quoting missing somewhere in the ebuild.
My dir structure is like this:

wrath ~ # ls /usr/share/fonts/adobe\ otf/
Aachen Std ITC Slimbach Std
Adobe Caslon Pro ITC Souvenir Std
Adobe Garamond Pro ITC Stone Informal Std
Adobe Jenson Pro ITC Stone Sans Std
Adobe Wood Type Ornaments Std ITC Stone Serif Std
Albertus MT Std ITC Symbol Std
Aldus LT Std ITC Tiepolo Std
Alexa Std ITC Tiffany Std
...

I assume it's not that important, but you may want to look into it.

Uhm, which ebuild is this about (equery b "/path/to/some font in there")
Comment 2 Thomas R. (TRauMa) 2006-03-28 14:17:59 UTC
No no, its about fonts I have independently of portage, the xorg ebuild seems to try to do something with them and gives the above messages.

Hmmm oh well, one more reason to not use spaces... :) You forgot to reopen, btw... Doing now.
Comment 4 Thomas R. (TRauMa) 2006-03-28 14:32:11 UTC
Hey, I need my space! ;-) tnx 4 reopening.

Please test with modular X (see http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/desktop/x/x11/modular-x-howto.xml ) and reopen if it's still an issue.
